2025 Summer Student Positions: Engineering & Data Entry/Process Mapping
Please note these are Summer Student Positions with contracts ending September 1 2025.
Boart Longyear is an integrated drilling products provider producing manufacturing and operating equipment for the minerals industry.
We are currently seeking selfmotivated Summer Students for our North Bay Ontario office in the following areas:
Engineering Technician Summer Student
Coordinator (Data Entry & Process Mapping) Summer Student

Position Details:
Work Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Contract End Date: Friday September 1 2025
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Engineering Technician Summer Student:
Update document as needed
Creating / modifying CAD Files
Time studies
Assist in housekeeping activities and maintaining an organized workspace
Coordinator (Data Entry & Process Mapping) Summer Student:
Perform data entry and database maintenance for process documentation
Assist with process mapping and workflow analysis
Support document control and organization of key operational records
Work with crossfunctional teams to gather and input accurate information
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook)
Detailoriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a teamoriented environment
Personal Attributes:
Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently when needed
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Commitment to following safety policies and procedures
For therole: Must be comfortable with physical demands such as lifting bending walking and standing for extended periods
Reporting Relationship:
These positions report directly to the Engineering Manager and Production Manager in North Bay Ontario.
