Direct Support Professional Residential
Salary: $18.00 $19.17
Differential: $1.00 pay differential for night shift $1.00 pay differential weekend shifts!
Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate individual to provide handson support and services to people with developmental disabilities or other challenges helping them develop essential daily living skills like communication social interaction personal care and vocational activities. This role involves implementing health regimens and behavior support plans assisting with community activities and documenting services provided. Additionally the position includes supporting individuals with nutrition planning cooking and providing transportation when needed. The successful candidate will maintain a safe clean environment serve as a positive role model and collaborate with the team to promote independence community integration and personal growth for individuals. Candidates should be adaptable committed and adhere to agency policies procedures and privacy regulations.
Work Location: Ontario County

Responsibilities
- Provides handson assistance instruction and training to individuals which will enable them to develop and/or acquire skills in various aspects of daily living which may include communication social recreational and leisure activities self or personal care household management travel workrelated or vocational opportunities money management etc. in accordance with an individualized plan of service and following all safety considerations.
- Provides training opportunities designed to enhance each persons selfsufficiency in the areas of independent living

Requirements
- 18 years old
- HS Diploma or GED preferred and one year of relevant experience of and an equivalent amount of education/and or experience
- If driving is required reliable means of transportation NYS drivers license and safe driving record for 1 full year prior to hire date
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
