ABOUT US
Yarranbrook Feedlot is a specialist beef cattle lotfeeding backgrounding and irrigated farming operationbased in the heart of the Queenslands Border Rivers area. Located close to Inglewood the feedlots strategic location and wellappointed infrastructure accommodates both short and longfed cattle programs to service a combination of market segments.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Maintenance Operator you will be required to operate a variety of machinery ensuring operations are completed safely and in compliance with all regulatory requirements including company policies and procedures this key role will be responsible for:
- carrying out pen cleaning maintenance of grounds and equipment undertaking machinery operations and control including routine maintenance prestarts per OEM procedures
- ensuring that the health and welfare of livestock is given first priority
- ensuring machinery is kept in clean and safe working order
- carrying out duties in a manner that prioritises own health and safety and that of others
- communicating relevant information regarding faults with machinery being operated
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will have experience in maintenance of grounds and equipment together with:
- Demonstrated skill ability and experience across a variety of heavy equipment operations
- An ability to complete maintenance including basic welding and water repairs as required
- A focus on working safely
- An ability to work cooperatively with a team
- Good organisation and communication skills including an ability to use own initiative
