Foth is currently seeking a teamfocused innovative and resultsoriented Lead Environmental Regulatory Specialist who is seeking new learning experiences and career growth opportunities. The position can be located in any Foth office and requires limited travel.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage regulatory filings for coastal/waterfront development projects ensuring compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Projects include but are not limited to docks and marinas beachdune system enhancement inlet stabilization and maintenance shoreline stabilization structures stormwater drainage systems and environmental restoration initiatives
Develop and maintain indepth knowledge of coastal/waterfront construction regulations and procedures while fostering strong connections with key regulatory agency personnel
Cultivate strategic relationships with highlevel clientele government officials and a diverse network of contractors/vendors
Lead National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) analyses including the completion of Environmental Impact Statements environmental assessments biological assessments field observation reports and other technical reports
Prepare review and submit grant proposals and reports ensuring adherence to funder guidelines
Assist in identifying state and/or federal grant opportunities
Maintain accurate records of grants tracking milestones and deadlines to ensure timely submissions
Coordinate environmental and technical fieldwork secure applicable regulatory approvals collaborate with design engineering and construction teams/personnel and lead project proposal and procurement efforts. Monitor and analyze relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure ongoing compliance
Assist in preparation of request for qualifications / request for proposals (RFQs/RFPs) response packages and shortlist presentations
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Environmental Policy or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar environmental regulatory grant or environmental science role
Privatesector or government experience especially in the environmental grant or construction field
Prior experience in successfully obtaining and managing local state and federal permits including detailed documentation of the permitting process compliance with regulatory requirements and timely submission of applications
Experience with preparing federal and state grant applications as applicable for securing funding assistance for coastal projects
Experience with local zoning/planning boards
Experience administering and/or applying for state or federal grants
