General Summary:
Answers incoming phone calls. Schedules office visits for new and established patients. Enters patient messages in the computer to send to providers.
Essential Functions:
- Answer telephone calls and place calls as directed.
- Document patient messages.
- Schedule patient visits.
- Is able to understand and follow directions as given by the Physician/Provider.
- Practices effective communication skills
- Demonstrates responsibility and accountability as their profession practice and job dictates
- Displays a positive attitude within the department and across departmental lines to contribute to the overall customer service program in place.
- Follows the Hospital Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients families visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional responsible and courteous environment.
