Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a Senior React Engineer (JavaScript and CSS) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Own the implementation of critical new features in our React web application.
- Establish and enforce consistent coding patterns and best practices.
- Develop scalable extensible frontend systems that will support our growth as a product and team.
- Work closely with product and design to translate requirements into thoughtful technical solutions.
- Build and optimize integrations with our AI backend using the Vercel AI SDK.
- Contribute to architectural decisions within our monorepo (Turbo) environment.
- Mentor other engineers as we grow the team.
- Help maintain a high bar for code quality through thoughtful code reviews.
- Identify and address technical debt to ensure longterm scalability.
- Stay current with React ecosystem developments and evaluate new tools and approaches.
Requirements
- An experienced engineer with 6 years of software development experience including significant experience with React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Someone who has built and shipped production web applications that demonstrate technical excellence.
- Deeply familiar with React patterns state management approaches and performance optimization techniques.
- Proficient with modern frontend technologies (TypeScript CSSinJS etc..
- Comfortable working in a monorepo environment with modern JavaScript tooling.
- Experience with responsive design and creating accessible web applications.
- Experience with AIpowered applications and prompt engineering is a plus.
- A productminded engineer who understands how technical decisions impact user experience.
- A systems thinker who can design extensible maintainable code structures.
- A clear communicator who can articulate technical concepts and tradeoffs.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to make pragmatic decisions in a fastpaced environment.
- Selfdirected with the ability to own projects from conception to deployment.
- Excited to grow into a technical leadership role as the company scales.
