BluePearl Pet Hospital in Lewisville TX is hiring an extraordinary Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician!
A BluePearl Oncology Technician is someone who is selfmotivated a quick thinker and is able to multitask efficiently. Good communication skills and compassion are a must. Prefer to have a minimum of two or more years experience in a specialty veterinary hospital. The right candidate will be responsible for treating and monitoring patients as well as supporting the clinician with patient care and client communication.
As anInternal MedicineVeterinaryTechnicianyou will:
Set up constant rateinfusionsCRI.
Calculate all medical math.
Induce monitor and recoveranesthesia
Performphlebotomyand place intravenouscathetersin all peripheral veins.
Administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
Set up and assist with ultrasound andradiologyprocedures.
Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures(GI nasal urinary airway). Clean and maintain equipment following procedure.
DischargeInternal Medicinepatients from the hospital including basicclient educationsuch as insulin injection SQ fluid and feeding tube demonstrations.
Set up and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures which may include:
Joint Taps
Body cavity centesis (thoracocentesispericardiocentesis abdominocentesis)
Bone marrow biopsy and aspirates
Needle aspirates
Laparoscopicor ultrasound guided biopsies
