Job Description:

POSITION: Software Engineer II
WORKSITE: 6300 Bee Cave Road Building One Austin TX 78746
DUTIES: Build and deliver investment data technology solutions using various technologies including Python C# Airflow SQL to support Research Portfolio management trading and analytics functions. Identify design and implement changes to data pipelines at various stages including data ingestion data validation data quality storage management and data delivery. Build high performance and scalable datatransfer toolsets which reliably transfer datasets between endpoints within established Service Level Agreements. Focus on data consistency across a variety of sources and improve existing processes by incorporating new tools to reduce manual intervention. Increase code reliability by writing Unit tests/Integration tests and contributing to the Engineering wiki/documentation in detail. This includes working with: write efficient code in Python to create various stages of data pipeline process and have experience in working with various Python opensource toolsets including: Pandas or Numpy and ORM tools like SQL Alchemy or Entity Framework; building RESTful APIs and web services; communicate technological ideas to business and endusers; writing complex SQL queries; working with NoSQL databases including: Mongo Redis or related; SOLID principles and Domain Driven Design; knowledge of best practices Dev Ops processes and IT operations in an alwaysup and alwaysavailable service; and working in Linux and windows environments. May work from home in a home office where Dimensional has an office in the state. #LIDNI
MINIUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Financial Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience to involve: 1 writing efficient code in Python to create various stages of data pipeline process and have experience in working with various Python opensource toolsets including: Pandas or Numpy and ORM tools like SQL Alchemy or Entity Framework; 2 building RESTful APIs and web services; 3 communicating technological ideas to business and endusers. Additionally 3 years of experience stated herein to involve: 4 writing complex SQL queries and working with NoSQL databases including: Mongo Redis or related. Finally 1 year of experience stated herein to involve: (a) SOLID principles and Domain driven design; (b) knowledge of best practices Dev Ops processes and IT operations in an alwaysup and alwaysavailable service; and (c) working in Linux and windows environments. May work from home in a home office where Dimensional has an office in the state.
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: In lieu of a Bachelors degree employer will accept a Masters degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Financial Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience to involve: 1 writing efficient code in Python to create various stages of data pipeline process and have experience in working with various Python opensource toolsets including: Pandas or Numpy and ORM tools like SQL Alchemy or Entity Framework; 2 building RESTful APIs and web services; 3 communicating technological ideas to business and endusers; and 4 writing complex SQL queries and working with NoSQL databases including: Mongo Redis or related. Finally 1 year of experience stated herein to involve: (a) SOLID principles and Domain driven design; (b) knowledge of best practices Dev Ops processes and IT operations in an alwaysup and alwaysavailable service; and (c) working in Linux and windows environments. May work from home in a home office where Dimensional has an office in the state.
