Job Summary
If you are looking for an opportunity in Business Development Emerson has this exciting role for you! The Senior Application Engineer Business Development will be responsible for actively drives & manages technology engagement at early stages with End Users Consultants Technology driven solutions around key Industry verticals Proof of Concepts Cybersecurity Solution Strategic and Tactical solution developments evaluation and drive customers technical preference at bidding stages of the sales process and ensure that our offered solutions are commercially leaner than competition.
They are also addressed as Solution Architects who act as the customers key technical adviser and solution advocate while providing front line assistance to clients developing and deploying Automation and Controls solutions vast portfolio of Control & Software within Discrete Automation Group India.
In this role the Application Engineer will automate deploy and migrate customer solutions to Emerson platforms and provide solutions for Core Controls and Cybersecurity. Train channels and sales teams resolve site issues and work with Vertical Sales team on Tender specifications and scope.
In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Support Sales in establishing new business plan development and technocommercial deployment. This is not a regionspecific role but will be spread across India.
- Design and architect cybersecurity tools and solutions in process control systems.
- Work to understand and address our customers cybersecurity concerns requirements and provide cybersecurity solutions.
- Develop Digital Transformation and IIoT based solutions with both hardware and software portfolio through new OEMs End User and EPC Customers Discrete Industry and Internal Emerson opportunities.
- Manage Customer Presentation & Demo activities providing outstanding experience to customers. Collaborate daily with sales team to provide solutions implementation expertise & Proof of Concepts BOM creation and Technical Consultation.
- Build strong technical skills on new developments on PLC platforms (Emerson RX3i RSTi VersaMax etc) PAC Machine Edition RTU Drives & Servo Motion platforms at implementation level applications machine learning and key solutions to drive value in overall solution offering.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed. Ability to work closely with customer to build confidence and solution development. Travelling need 50 of the time.
- Work through all phases of customer interaction including customer analysis solution design and implementation.
Who You Are:
You provide support to Sales team and work in close coordination with Business Development Leader. Engineering for new products Solution. You relate comfortably with people across levels functions culture and geography.
For This Role You Will Need:
- Expert with RX3i PLC series VersaMax
- Expert with SCADA MS SQL.
- Expert with IIoT and Digital Transformation.
- Experience of resolving site commissioning exposure and experience around supporting Channel partners on critical engineering development or site related challenges & issues.
- Minimum 4 years of validated experience as business development or engineering role in Industrial Automation knowledge is preferable
