Minimum Qualifications:
1 year healthcare experience1 year healthcare experience.
Needs good communication skills and ability to handle demanding and/or stressful requests. The position revolves around serving the SPD prep/assembly and OR core technicians. Must understand the urgency of staffs requests; staff answers directly to the RME Inventory Supervisor.

Responsibilities:
Disassembles and cleans medical instruments and materials by hand or using machines to remove contaminants.
Assembles and package surgical instruments and sets ensuring they are properly inspected and prepared for sterilization.
Utilizes sterilizing equipment such as steam autoclaves Sterrad and System 1E to sterilize instruments and sets conducting biological and diagnostic tests as required.
Keeps detailed records of sterilization loads and items processed ensuring proper documentation for compliance and tracking.
Transports sterilized instruments and sets to and from the Sterile Supply Department (SSD) ensuring proper storage and handling to maintain sterility.
Collaborates with operating room staff to provide necessary supplies and equipment responding promptly to their requests to support surgical procedures.
Performs routine testing on sterilizing equipment including biological tests for steam autoclaves and diagnostic tests for Sterrad sterilizers ensuring equipment functionality.
Follows established safety protocols and compliance standards including handling biological hazards sharp objects and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
May perform other duties as assigned.
