Job Description
Title: Enterprise Software Engineer BI Manager
Location: Pune
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Software Engineer BI Manager to lead our Business Intelligence (BI) team in India. In this role youll oversee a team of skilled analysts responsible for delivering analytics solutions to support various Wolters Kluwer business units. Youll leverage your expertise in BI and SAP technologies to guide projects from concept through providing datadriven insights that drive strategic decisions and optimize business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead mentor and manage a team of analysts to deliver effective analytics solutions for projects and operational support across multiple Wolters Kluwer business units.
- Develop and implement a business intelligence strategy aligned with organizational goals enabling datadriven decisionmaking.
- Drive analytics projects from ideation to ensuring solutions meet business requirements.
- Apply strong communication and problemsolving skills to guide the development team on issues related to the design development and deployment of data and reports.
- Collaborate with technology and business teams sharing domain knowledge and providing input on BI solutions.
- Serve as a liaison between Information Technology teams and business stakeholders maintaining awareness of endtoend processes.
- Build trust with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
- Lead the resolution of complex technical issues using advanced analytical skills ensuring the Operations team delivers on job monitoring enhancements defect identification and process improvements.
- Coach and develop BI team members offering feedback recognition and motivation during 1:1 discussions and team meetings.
- Ensure the BI team including ETL developers report designers and data analysts has the necessary training and skills to deliver highquality secure and bestpractice data solutions.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding of BI team employees and contractors as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers IT leaders and business stakeholders to allocate resources based on project and operational demands.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Data Science Computer Science or a related field; a Masters degree is a plus.
- Experience: 910 years of broad IT experience with 57 years managing BI teams to deliver ETL reporting and data analytics solutions.
- Strong understanding of data visualization reporting and analytics tools.
- Proficiency in ETL/data integration SAP technologies (SAP BW SAP HANA SAP Datasphere SAP Analytics Cloud) and data reporting/analytics processes.
- Indepth knowledge of data warehouse design and architecture including dimensional modeling principles (star and snowflake schemas denormalized structures slowly changing dimensions etc..
- Solid foundation in RDBMS and cloud data warehouse platforms (e.g. Snowflake Oracle DB2 MySQL SQL Server) including data modeling and DataMart design.
- Experience with data engineering tools like Informatica and SAP Business Objects Data Services (BODS) is preferred.
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven record in stakeholder management.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
