Your Role:

As our PYP Learning Strategies Teacher you will make a profound difference in the lives of our PK3Grade 5 students. Youll work closely with classroom teachers specialists and families to support students with mild to moderate learning needs empowering them to develop the skills strategies and confidence to succeed. Youll help students discover their strengths advocate for their needs and develop key approaches to learning that set them up for success.

What Youll Do:

• Provide oneonone and smallgroup learning support.
• Collaborate with teachers to address students diverse needs and provide Tier 1 interventions.
  Work closely with families to ensure open and supportive communication.
• Develop monitor and update Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other documentation.
• Collect and analyze data to refine strategies and track student progress.
• Partner with outside specialists when necessary to enhance student support.
• Model instructional strategies and provide resources to classroom and specialist teachers.

Who You Are:

• A Canadian resident legally entitled to work in Canada.
• A Bachelors Degree in Education (or equivalent) with 2 years of professional experience in a school setting.
• Knowledge and experience in Special Education Learning Strategies or a closely related field.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
• Passion for working in a collaborative inclusive and innovative environment.
• Experience in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP).
• Familiarity with RTI Reading Recovery/LLI and best practices in learning strategies.
• Previous experience as a classroom teacher in elementary education.

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidates qualifications and relevant experience in accordance with BC labour laws and company policies.
