Job Description

The Learning Lab Assistant will work closely with students to develop their academic and executive functioning skills empowering them to successfully navigate the demands of middle school. They will work collaboratively with the Academic Coach and Duties and Responsibilities:Scheduling Student Support: This role is responsible for coordinating and scheduling students for Learning Lab sessions based on recommendations from MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) meetings. Academic Support: Provide targeted assistance in core subjects including study strategies concept reinforcement and skill-building Function Coaching: This program guides students in developing essential skills such as time management organization prioritization goal-setting and Attention: Offer one-on-one and small group sessions tailored to each students unique learning needs and Monitoring: Track and assess students progress through regular check-ins goal-setting and feedback sessions. Adjust support strategies based on student progress and with Educators and Families: Partner with teachers parents and school support staff to understand each students Development: Implement resources tools and activities that foster independent learning and promote study skills applicable beyond the and Motivation: Create a positive supportive environment that encourages student engagement resilience and self-confidence in their academic Team: Serves as a member of the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) team actively contributing to the development implementation and assessment of school-wide behavior strategies. This role involves collaborating with taff to promote positive behavior expectations analyzing behavioral data to inform decisions and implementing interventions that enhance students social-emotional skills and academic success. Performs related duties as required or assigned.
