Job Description
Position Overview:
The Network Engineer will take full responsibility for designing implementing and maintaining the organizations Cisco and Meraki network and server infrastructure in Cottage Grove WI. This role requires expertise in networking and server infrastructure to ensure robust secure and highperformance systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in enterprise networking server technologies and 24/7 operational support as well as the ability to work independently and collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
Beyond technical expertise the Network Engineer will drive strategic initiatives related to network and server infrastructure taking ownership of longterm planning network design and optimization. This role involves advising key decisionmakers and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure Design & Management: Lead the design configuration and management of the organizations network including routers switches firewalls and VPNs. Ensure scalability performance security and failover readiness.
Server Infrastructure: Maintain deep technical knowledge of how highperformance networks interact with server infrastructure and storage arrays both on premises and in the cloud.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor network and server health proactively resolving issues and optimizing performance.
Security Management: Collaborate with the security team to implement and enforce network security best practices.
Disaster Recovery & Backup Systems: Work with offsite DR solutions to ensure seamless failover transitions.
Collaboration with IT Teams: Work closely with system administrators security engineers and other IT teams to support crossdepartmental initiatives.
24/7 OnCall Support: Respond to critical network and server issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain uptodate records of network configurations server setups and troubleshooting procedures.
Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry advancements and propose infrastructure enhancements.
Budget & Planning: Assist management in proactively planning and budgeting for future improvements.
This is a 5day inoffice position and you must live within 60 minutes drive time to our Cottage Grove office.

Education:
Bachelors degree in computer science Network Engineering or other information technology related fields.
Experience:
Minimum of 710 years relevant experience in network engineering network administration or infrastructure management.
Extensive experience with Cisco and Meraki network infrastructure.
Strong understanding of highperformance networking and server infrastructure including onpremise and cloudbased solutions.
Expertise in network security firewalls intrusion detection systems and secure remote access.
Experience with disaster recovery solutions and failover strategies.
Ability to monitor network health troubleshoot issues proactively and maintain optimal uptime.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with IT teams and leadership.
Availability to provide 24/7 oncall support for critical incidents.
Commitment to staying up to date with the latest network technologies industry trends and best practices.
