Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking an Enterprise Network Manager to join our team at Adelphi MD.

  • Must be a US Citizen 
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

Our Enterprise Networking Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle of enterprise networking operations to include planning and implementation optimization and security integration. As a leader you will lead complex projects mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in accordance with DoD and ARL IT policies at the Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi MD.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the configuration and troubleshooting of Layer 2/3 switches routers firewalls encryption devices wireless access points and associated networking gear.
  • Oversee network control center operations to ensure 24/7 availability and proactive incident management.
  • Design install configure and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN/MAN infrastructures including IPV4/IPV6 IPSec VPN and voice/video systems.
  • Guide network modernization efforts new technology integration and network architecture strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to develop compliant secure and scalable network solutions aligned with INFOSEC and COMSEC requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies ensuring effective integration with existing systems.
  • Deliver comprehensive documentation for designs configurations and system operations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior and mid-level network engineers promoting a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
  • Translate business and mission requirements into technical networking solutions and support documentation.
  • Participate in security audits STIG compliance checks and vulnerability remediation processes related to network assets.

Qualifications :

  • Must be a US Citizen. 
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Must have a BA/BS Degree in computer science information technology or logistics.
  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience working in IT enterprise network engineering.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security CE CCNA Security GICSP GSEC SSCP etc.).
  • Proven leadership in managing complex network environments including DoD networks.
  • Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF BGP) security standards (802.1X 802.11 MAC bridging) and media access control systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in network segmentation traffic management and secure network architecture design.
  • In-depth knowledge of network tools monitoring platforms and documentation best practices.
  • Ability to plan and implement large-scale network configurations and upgrades while minimizing downtime.
  • Must obtain a computing environment certification within 6 months of hire.

Preferred:

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification
  • Experience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.
  • CCIE certification.
  • Familiarity with NIST STIG RMF and Federal Information Systems Controls.
  • Working knowledge of hardware configuration management tools and logistics tracking systems.
  • Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Salary Range: $123000 - $133000

Several factors influence the final salary or hourly rate including but not limited to contract wage determinations relevant work experience role-specific skills and competencies geographic location educational background certifications and federal government contract labor categories.
