Our Enterprise Networking Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle of enterprise networking operations to include planning and implementation optimization and security integration. As a leader you will lead complex projects mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in accordance with DoD and ARL IT policies at the Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi MD.

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the configuration and troubleshooting of Layer 2/3 switches routers firewalls encryption devices wireless access points and associated networking gear.
- Oversee network control center operations to ensure 24/7 availability and proactive incident management.
- Design install configure and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN/MAN infrastructures including IPV4/IPV6 IPSec VPN and voice/video systems.
- Guide network modernization efforts new technology integration and network architecture strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to develop compliant secure and scalable network solutions aligned with INFOSEC and COMSEC requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies ensuring effective integration with existing systems.
- Deliver comprehensive documentation for designs configurations and system operations.
- Supervise and mentor junior and mid-level network engineers promoting a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
- Translate business and mission requirements into technical networking solutions and support documentation.
- Participate in security audits STIG compliance checks and vulnerability remediation processes related to network assets.

Qualifications :
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Must have a BA/BS Degree in computer science information technology or logistics.
- Ten (10) years of relevant experience working in IT enterprise network engineering.
- IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security CE CCNA Security GICSP GSEC SSCP etc.).
- Proven leadership in managing complex network environments including DoD networks.
- Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF BGP) security standards (802.1X 802.11 MAC bridging) and media access control systems.
- Demonstrated experience in network segmentation traffic management and secure network architecture design.
- In-depth knowledge of network tools monitoring platforms and documentation best practices.
- Ability to plan and implement large-scale network configurations and upgrades while minimizing downtime.
- Must obtain a computing environment certification within 6 months of hire.
Preferred:
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification
- Experience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.
- CCIE certification.
- Familiarity with NIST STIG RMF and Federal Information Systems Controls.
- Working knowledge of hardware configuration management tools and logistics tracking systems.
- Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.
- Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
- A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
- Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Salary Range: $123000 - $133000
Several factors influence the final salary or hourly rate including but not limited to contract wage determinations relevant work experience role-specific skills and competencies geographic location educational background certifications and federal government contract labor categories.
