Job Description
FLSA Status: Exempt
- To collaborate with the literacy team and classroom teachers in efforts to support identified students with literacy intervention.
- The Literacy Teacher provides highquality literacy instruction aligned with state standards and curriculum using researchbased reading and writing strategies to support learners in a flexible small group setting.
- They assess student progress analyze data to inform instruction and implement targeted interventions for struggling readers.
- They collaborate with classroom teachers the Literacy Coach administrators and families to support literacy development participate in professional learning and integrate best practices and highquality instructional materials for literacy to strengthen instruction.
- Additionally they work closely with their schoollevel literacy team to promote divisionlevel literacy initiatives as well as literacy activities and events for students and families.
