Job Description
The Newman School is seeking a Director for the Student Success Center. The Director reports directly to the Assistant Head of School and is the leader of an educational department. The director oversees the entire academic support structure for students with diagnosed learning and/or developmental challenges communicates frequently with familiesand works very closely with the Director of Counseling for students experiencing mental health challenges. The students in the Student Success Center receive 1:1 sessions small group work and general drop in support for the entire student successful candidate will be a passionate educator who is committed to the mission of Newman and displays a sensitivity to and understanding of students with diverse learning styles. The Director of the Student Success Center will foster a positive structured and caring environment while also adhering to the goals of the International Baccalaureate to develop inquiring knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and candidates should send a resume cover letter and a list of three references to withthe subject Student Success Center DirectorThe Newman School invites and employs qualified candidates of any race sex sexual orientation gender identity or expression religion creed handicap status national origin or ethnicity to all the rights privileges programs and activities generally accorded or made available to all employees at the school.
