About the Role: As a Youth Specialist youll provide a safe fun and educational environment for children in our schoolbased programs. Youll be a role model mentor and guide as you nurture childrens academic and personal growth. Your leadership will help create positive memories and lasting impact for both the kids and their families.

Your Schedule:

  • Beforeschool hours: 6:30 AM 8:30 AM
  • Afterschool hours: 2:30 PM 6:00 PM
  • This role requires a commitment of 28 working hours per week
  • Choose from flexible schedules including beforeschool afterschool or both!
  • Choose from a variety of school locations throughout Pinellas County.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and ensure the safety of a group of children.
  • Facilitate fun and enriching activities that support school curriculum.
  • Build positive relationships with children parents and staff while promoting YMCA core values: honesty respect responsibility and caring.

What Were Looking For:

  • Passion for working with kids!
  • Must be 18 with a high school diploma GED or proof of enrollment in a program if graduation is within 2 years.
  • Previous childcare experience is a plus 1 year preferred).
  • Strong communication skills and dependability.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification preferred (well help you get certified if youre not).
