Job Description

Adelphi is seeking experienced Licensed Specialists in School Psychology (LSSPs) to provide school-based psychological services at a School District in Starr County Texas. The ideal candidate will collaborate with students families and school staff to assess and support students academic behavioral and emotional needs in compliance with federal and state education regulations.

Requirements
Master s or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
Active and valid LSSP license issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
Minimum of 3 years experience working with children preferably in a school setting
Comprehensive understanding of IDEA FAPE ARD procedures and special education law
Must successfully pass a background check in accordance with Texas Education Code Chapter 22

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to determine eligibility for special education services
Participate in ARD (Admission Review and Dismissal) committee meetings and provide professional input
Deliver direct and consultative psychological services to students with emotional behavioral and academic concerns
Assist with the development of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
Collaborate with teachers administrators and families to promote student success and well-being
Prepare and maintain accurate compliant evaluation reports and records
Support RTI (Response to Intervention) and MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) processes where appropriate
