Special Education Teacher responsibilities include:
- Plan develop and implement high quality instruction for students with disabilities (Grades 712
- Create clear instructional lesson plans and implement effectively
- Identify the needs of assigned students through formal and informal assessments
- Administer score and interpret the results of educational evaluations
- Write accurate evaluation reports
- Participate professionally in Eligibility and Individual Educational Program Meetings
- Chair Annual Review Meetings for assigned students
- Complete all required documentation following IEP meetings
- Write and implement clear IEPs with appropriate goals
- Consult to general education teachers around accommodations and modifications for assigned students
- Maintain appropriate communication with parents via email phone and conferences
- Represent Special Education at Divisional/Domain planning meetings
Individual Professional Responsibilities:
- Attend all faculty and planning meetings
- Participate in professional development
- Maintain confidentiality
- Fulfill noninstructional or other duties as assigned

Educational or other qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree preferred
- Current Massachusetts licensure in Special Education: Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities and (preferred) Mathematics 58 or 812
- SEI Indorsement (preferred)
- Citizenship residency or work visa required
