General Description: Facilitate and monitor the evaluation process of Randolph Public School students while providing diagnostic and consultative services including psychometric assessment in cognitive and achievement areas. The School Psychologist/Team Facilitator will be responsible for ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to IDEA and Responsibilities:Conduct assessments of students referred for an initial evaluation or reevaluation. Assessments may include psychological achievement and others deemed necessary for learning assessment findings to school personnel other concerned professionals parents and when appropriate students aged 14 older. Put interpretations into written reports prior to team recommendations on ways to assist students in the classroom upon teacher initial and reevaluation meetings; coordinate initial and reevaluation meetings process with parents and school the process of evaluation of students Monitor utilization of Parents Notice of Procedural Safeguards for initial three year and independent file review and summary for initial consent to and summarize observations of regulator compliance regarding participation of identified students in MCAS and other standardized and monitor placement process. Monitor placement in the least restrictive parent participation in procedures for discipline of special needs Manifestation Determination in expulsion/exclusion and facilitate provision of free and appropriate public education for identified monitor and/or facilitate evaluation/IEP /placement scheduled special education districtwide meetings psychologist team chair with building administration regarding the provision of special education scheduling of initial/three year Team liaison support between the central special education office and individual special transportation requests to the special education and monitor compliance with state and federal mandates as well as local processes and documentation to and participate in due process knowledge of state and federal law as well as adhere to LEA procedures processes and the existing eSped to assure appropriate documentation of LEA procedures for the documentation of developing appropriate IEPs initiating reviews and reevaluations obtaining parent consent and approval and distributing data to various service providers and regular education staff as in the capacity of LEA representative in a manner that assures fiscal responsibility & provision of FAPE in the least restrictive environment implementation of accommodations/modifications of students with disabilitiesPerform all other duties as deemed necessary & assigned by the Superintendent of Schools and Director of Special per the Unit A Collective Bargaining Agreement and includes an additional 5 salary differential for an 8 hour work day.
