Job Description
The company is a leading global supplier of coated exterior systems and components. With a track record of over 160 years across four continents and 22 production sites the 10000 skilled team members manufacture the latest exterior systems and components for the worlds leading automotive manufacturers.
A qualified candidate will have:
- Five 5 plus years of experience in an automated paint line serving the automotive manufacturing industry
- Three 3 plus years of experience in a supervisory role
- Handson experience and proven results utilizing Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement tools
- Knowledge of robot operation to include basic maintenance trouble shooting and programming PLCs
- Knowledge of and full operational ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs of conveyor oven paint booth waterwash and AMU
- Maintenance of equipment guns pumps regulators flow meters and color stacks
- Understanding of the color change process and flushing process
- Full understanding of the paint process from loading parts to inspection of defects
- Strong verbal communication skills including speaking before groups of customers or employees
- Must demonstrate leadership skills and have interpersonal skills/demeanor to motivate the staff and build trust with the workforce
