Required Qualifications:
Exceptional math skills through Algebra I and Geometry
Excellent communication and multitasking skills
Ability to professionally interact with students and parents
Energetic confident and fun personality
Ability to solve basic technology challenges
Reliable and Responsible
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to teach students and upperlevel high school math courses including Algebra II and PreCalculus
Previous teaching experience or other experience working with students
Behavior management education skills or experience
Customer service and sales skills
Ability to provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage motivate and build confidence among students
Position Summary:
The Mathnasium Instructor is responsible for delivering mathematical instruction to students using the Mathnasium Method. Instructors are committed to providing exceptional customer service through an expert approach that is personal and prescriptive attending to each individual students needs. Instructors build students confidence and selfesteem through successful encounters and interactions with carefully selected materials. Instructors work as part of a team and operate in a team teaching environment where collaboration and communication ensure all student needs are addressed. Instructors are the backbone of Mathnasiums customer service by delivering exceptional math instruction for students.
Mathnasium locations are independently owned and operated by franchisees of Mathnasium Center Licensing LLC (Mathnasium). Franchisees are independent business people and not employed by Mathnasium. Thus each franchisee and each franchisee center is unique and the franchisee is alone responsible for all employment matters in their center. If you are hired to work at a center the franchisee will be your employer not Mathnasium.
