We are looking for a Software Development Engineer II who has experience building innovative and highvolume applications. This is a high visibility team where youll make a direct positive impact on the customer experience. We are excited about our roadmap that involves building technology for new business initiatives with the opportunity to work on groundsup product development. Additionally on this team you will interface with key stakeholders who use our platform to access internal AWS services in order to address key security relevant issues.
A qualified candidate for this role enjoys building highly scalable faulttolerant distributed systems using cloudnative architectural patterns. If you are interested in building services that allow AWS Security business to reach its innovative goals then we look forward to connecting with you.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.



Key job responsibilities
As you design and code solutions to help our team drive efficiencies in software architecture youll create metrics implement automation and other improvements and resolve the root cause of software defects. Youll also:
Build highimpact solutions to deliver to our large customer base.
Participate in design discussions code review and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Work crossfunctionally to help drive business decisions with your technical input.
Work in a startuplike development environment where youre always working on the most important stuff.

3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
3 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full stack development experience
Current active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
3 years of computer science fundamentals (objectoriented design data structures algorithm design problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
