Job Description
The Basilica School of Saint Mary a Catholic PreK through eight Parish School in Alexandria Virginia is seeking a qualified teacher to serve as a teacher for the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for theSchool year. The Basilica School is progressively developing an Atrium and will expand instruction from our PreK program to the Kindergarten class. The Catechist will work closely with the Kindergarten team and with our Director of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program. The Catechist will be committed to offering excellence in our youngest students intellectual spiritual and character formation. This is an excellent opportunity to build a program with a supportive team. Qualified candidates will fully embrace the mission of our Catholic school which recognizes the infinite value of each student seeks to develop the gifts of all and nurtures them to be saints stewards and scholars always with an eye to their eternal destiny. Ideal candidates will hold a Masters degree hold or be willing to work towards certification and have previous PreK instructional experiences.
