This role partners closely with Division Vice Presidents and District Managers throughout Florida providing strategic engineering leadership while reporting directly to the Region Engineering Manager.

What Youll Do:
Lead Projects & Drive Results
- Manage and execute largescale construction and permitting projects across multiple solid waste management facilities.
- Develop capital budgets and oversee project delivery to meet business safety and financial objectives.
Ensure Compliance & Environmental Excellence
- Interpret and apply regulatory permits for landfills and transfer stations.
- Conduct environmental audits and develop compliance strategies for landfills transfer stations MRFs and hauling operations.
- Review consultant prepared environmental reports and plans including SPCC SWPPP GHG groundwater monitoring and Title V.
Innovate & Improve
- Champion innovative waste collection processing and disposal systems that maximize resource recovery and environmental protection.
- Collaborate with operational and financial leaders to identify efficiencies and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Coach & Support
- Train and mentor field staff in safety compliance and performance best practices.
- Support site leaders with a commitment to achieving 100 compliance.
What You Bring:
Education & Credentials
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Environmental Science Chemistry or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E. license preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of solid waste industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of Floridaspecific environmental regulations and permitting.
- Proven success managing construction projects and working in regulated environments.

Location & Travel
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to central or southern Florida.
- This position follows a hybrid work structure with time split between working from home and regularly visiting facilities in person.
- This position includes supporting facilities in the Tampa and Ft. Myers areas and regular travel of approximately 50 to these sites is expected.
- Travel to sites throughout Florida including overnight stays may be required.
