As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Area Manager youll bring together the elements that make our working environment as supportive and efficient as possible. Your focus will be to lead and mentor a team of expert technicians dedicated to equipment reliability.

A day in the life
Youll be based at one of our operational sites which allows you to give practical guidance to your team and get a clear vision of whats happening at your site. This involves collecting data and solving problems in a fastpaced environment. Youll also have a chance to create an operational plan to make the site more productive and efficient. That will involve setting up new projects that improve everything from operational processes to equipment maintenance. After safety the most important part of the role is leading your team and managing their performance and development including organising additional training.
About the team
Amazon Logistics or AMZL handles last mile delivery duties in partnership with thirdparty distribution businesses. We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers. Our goal is to make our customers delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts like Amazon Fresh Prime Now and Amazon Restaurants.
There are two sides to what we do. Our under the roof associates process millions of products for dispatch to our delivery teams. Our team is peoplefocused and supportive particularly as lots of our people work through the night. We focus mostly on operations with 24/7 shifts in most of our locations.
Meanwhile our on the road people work with Amazon Flex a network of delivery contractors. Every year we continually raise the bar for customer experience with new innovative delivery services. We look for new ways to overcome industry wide logistics challenges and new ideas to reduce our carbon footprint supported by a portfolio of cuttingedge vehicles (including Electric Vehicles) and technology to help us do just that.
Relevant experience as part of a maintenance team in an industrial or production environment that handles a variety of complex business processes
Relevant experience in managing people in an engineering team
Relevant experience in liaising and managing relationships between a variety of stakeholders including thirdparty vendors
Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English and upper intermediate proficiency in local language

A degree in Engineering or another technical field
A UK Higher National Diploma (HND) Higher National Certificate (HNC) BTEC National Diploma (OND) Ieng CEng or ILM L4
Experience of working with statutory regulations such as compliance checks and machine safety protocols
Experience in automated equipment including packaging machinery sortation and conveyor systems
Experience of using data analysis tools and PLCbased control systems
Experience with project management or Kaizen Lean Six Sigma processes
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
