Job Description
We are looking for an experienced R&D Manager to lead product development and innovation for a growing cosmetics manufacturer. This role requires 7 12 years of handson experience in formulation testing and product launch cycles especially in skincare personal care or makeup categories.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of new cosmetic formulations from concept through production
- Manage product testing stability studies and ingredient compatibility evaluations
- Work closely with the regulatory team to ensure compliance with cosmetic regulations (FDA EU etc.
- Oversee scaleup trials and provide technical guidance to production teams
- Analyze market trends and collaborate with marketing and sales to align development goals
- Manage and mentor a small team of formulation scientists or lab technicians
Qualifications:
- 7 12 years of experience in cosmetic R&D or formulation development
- Strong knowledge of raw materials skin biology and product performance testing
- Experience leading crossfunctional projects from R&D through commercialization
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Degree in Chemistry Cosmetic Science or related field preferred
