Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Procurement Engineer to support the procurement activities for major construction projects in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the sourcing negotiation and procurement of electrical materials and equipment in accordance with project requirements timelines and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications BOQs and electrical drawings to determine material and equipment needs.
- Identify and prequalify suppliers and vendors both locally and internationally.
- Prepare and issue RFQs (Request for Quotations) analyze quotations and conduct technical and commercial evaluations.
- Negotiate pricing delivery terms payment conditions and contract terms with suppliers.
- Coordinate with engineering planning and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of materials aligned with project schedules.
- Ensure all procured materials meet the required technical and quality standards.
- Manage procurement documentation including purchase orders submittals and delivery schedules.
- Track and report procurement status and provide updates to project management.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 7 10 years of experience in procurement roles specifically in electrical systems and materials within the construction or engineering industry.
- Proven experience in handling largescale construction projects preferably in the GCC.
- Excellent knowledge of electrical materials equipment and international standards.
- Strong negotiation communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle).
- Ability to manage multiple procurement packages under tight deadlines.
- Transferable Iqama is preferred (for candidates already in KSA).
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
