Job Description

As a Sr. Manager in the Business Consulting practice you will lead and own multiple clientfacing advisory and consulting engagements. In this leadership role you will utilize your broad and deep business consulting experience to successfully partner with our clients to achieve their vision and goals. 

As Sr. Manager you will lead engagement projects and direct teams of consultants in meeting or exceeding performance expectations with respect to quality delivery profit and productivity. Additionally this role is responsible for identifying and implementing client solutions rooted in best practices solution frameworks methodologies and industry trends. This role collaborates closely with senior leaders to assist in the development of annual budgets and is responsible for delivering specific business development targets to grow Wavestones overall business.  

Responsibilities

 

  • Actively lead and own multiple large client initiatives in a variety of industries.
  • Direct implement and continuously improve practice strategies goals core competencies and processes to support overall company growth and development. 
  • Deliver on specific business development financial targets by executing on business development activities including lead qualification problem/solution exploration proposal generation and opportunity resolution. 
  • Lead multiple largescale projects in support of Wavestones overall P&L and growth potential ensuring quality work on time and within budget. 
  • Recommend and implement best practices and proven delivery methodologies in support of solving client challenges. 
  • Continually evaluate and learn new tools processes or approaches to further improve existing methodologies and contribute to the practices growth. 
  • Lead and motivate direct reports as well as client project team members. Provide regular feedback and developmentfocused coaching and mentoring. 
  • Support talent recruitment by acquiring and developing high potential talent. 
  • Facilitate client meetings and conversations that result in clear outcomes and common understanding. 
  • Develop and deliver clear and compelling business presentations/reviews internally and externally. 
  • Support the development of annual budgets in partnership with senior leadership. 
  • Actively participate in and represent the company at business marketing events including speaking engagements at conferences networking events executive events and seminars. 

Qualifications :

Education  

  • Bachelors Degree in a variety of disciplines to include Business Marketing Technology Engineering Human Resources Organizational Effectiveness/Design etc.  
  • Masters/MBA preferred. 

Required Experience  

  • 7 years or more relevant experience in business management consulting including team leadership in the areas of marketing operational improvement business transformation product/service development merger & acquisitions financial transformation or related experience. 
  • Individual business development responsibility with a successful track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Successful track record of leading projects in both a consulting and industry environment that includes owning deliverables and implementing creative client solutions. 
  • Strong business acumen including policy alignment concise communication and technology solutions in support of a clients strategic goals. 
  • Experience as an expert thought leader designing business solutions in a variety of industries. 
  • Welldeveloped communications skills including expertise in delivering compelling presentations to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Ability to see the big picture anticipate risks and take action to minimize business impact. 
  • Proven ability to create competitive and breakthrough strategies and solutions and bring structure to ambiguous situations. 
  • Experience as a handson leader collaborating with both internal external and virtual teams. 
  • Experience coaching and motivating direct reports as well as client project team members. 
  • Genuine interpersonal skills to interface with clients/team members and the ability to build trusting client relationships. 
  • Ability to travel based on client requirements. 

Preferred Experience  

  • 10 years or more direct business consulting experience with deep experience in financial transformations or related experience. 
  • Experience developing a practice or set of service offerings to clients.
  • Flexibility and confidence to contribute to any of Wavestones other practice areas.
  • Prior consulting experience with big four consulting companies.
  • Process improvement/Six Sigma/Lean Sigma experience.
