Job Description
Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company operating across Australia and New Zealand. Our clients are the owners and operators of assets that are critical to our local communities.
In partnership with the Australia Defence Force we are seeking a Land Management Supervisor to join us at Simpson Barracks in Yallambie Northeast Suburbs of Melbourne.
Reporting to the Operational Services Manager and supporting Ventias Defence Base Services (DBS) contract you will provide effective and efficient delivery of the Land Management Service within an allocated geographical and client base in support of the Environmental Maintenance and Operations Manager.
This is a permanent fulltime role working Monday to Friday from 6:30am 4pm.
Other Duties:
- Supervise Land Management staff and subcontractors.
- Commitment to following HSE and Quality Assurance procedures audits checklists and registers.
- Oversee care and upkeep of equipment.
- Ensure adherence to State regulatory requirements.
- Complete administration tasks arising from the Land Management Activity Schedule.
- Assist in the development and implementation the Land Management Activity Schedule including the preparation and management of work programs.
- Monitor the performance of the grounds maintenance team provide technical advice and performance management when required.
About You:
- Diploma in Horticulture or equivalent experience
- Must have a minimum of three years experience in a similar working environment with an understanding of all subordinate duties.
- Good working knowledge of turf horticulture arboriculture and irrigation operation.
- Experience supervising leading managing and mentoring staff.
- Have a current Medium Rigid Vehicle Licence
- Chainsaw Level 1 or 2
- Elevated Work Platform
- Agvet Chemical Users Course (or state equivalent)
- First Aid Level 2
- Open Motor Vehicle licence
- Issue Work Permit Desirable
