Job Summary
Assists departments with outreach recruitment and retention initiatives and projects. Organizes activities for students that support development of a campus community. Assists with new student orientations. Provides reception and clerical services for First Resort.
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience: Must maintain enrollment in at least 6 credits at LBCC maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout each term and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better to be eligible to work in a Learn & Earn student employee capacity at LinnBenton Community College. Knowledge and Skills : Requires basic office and clerical skills and familiarity with general office equipment including personal computers. Requires good communication customer relations and phone skills electronic communication and writing skills. Prefer familiarity with department policies and procedures. Abilities : Must be able to perform the duties of the position efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision and following welldefined policies and procedures. Requires the ability to prepare routine or customized reports correspondence or materials using word processing or database applications. Requires the ability to learn understand and apply college rules regulations and policies. Requires the ability to operate general office equipment including computers word processing and database applications used at the college. Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to prioritize and plan work to perform in a frequently fastpaced environment and within a designated time frame. Must be able to communicate clearly with diverse populations in a courteous manner exercising patience either over the phone or in person. Must have good public speaking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. General clerical or secretarial experience is preferred.
