Job Description
Our client a global healthcare company is seeking a Local Logistics Manager to oversee end-to-end logistics operations including warehousing transportation and demand planning. The ideal candidate will have strong logistics expertise hands-on experience with SAP LE MM or IBP and the ability to optimize supply chain processes in a fast-paced environment. This is a business operations role requiring a strategic thinker who can leverage SAP systems to improve efficiency compliance and cost-effectiveness across the logistics network.
This is a contractual position through the end of 2025 with a high likelihood of extending well into 2026. There will be occasional travel to the clients warehouse location(s) (domestic).
Job Requirements:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations ensuring efficient storage picking and distribution
- Optimize inventory levels using SAP MM to minimize stock outs and excess inventory
- Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations (GDP GMP etc.)
- Manage inbound/outbound logistics carrier relationships and freight costs optimization
- Monitor transportation KPIs (on-time delivery cost per shipment etc.)
- Resolve logistics bottlenecks and improve last-mile delivery performance
- Collaborate with regional teams to align demand forecasts with supply chain execution
- Utilize SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) or SAP LE for accurate demand planning
- Analyze trends and adjust procurement/logistics strategies accordingly
- Act as the local SAP power user for Logistics Execution (LE) Materials Management (MM)
- Identify system enhancements troubleshoot issues and train teams on best practices
- Drive continuous improvement in logistics processes through data-driven decisions
Requirements
- 4 years in logistics/supply chain management preferably in pharma/healthcare/FMCG
- Expertise in SAP LE MM WM or IBP (must be a power user not an IT developer)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in logistics optimization cost control and KPIs
- Fluency in Spanish & English (mandatory)
- Leadership experience managing teams or cross-functional stakeholders
