The Property Support Supervisor provides oversight and guidance to property support related roles and ensures the successful onboarding support and compliance of residential property owners and managers participating in housing subsidy programs. This role ensures that property partners are wellsupported systems are accurately maintained and program standards are consistently met to promote efficient housing placements and timely payments.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Property Partner Relations and Support
- Ensure consistent proactive outreach and education to property owners and managers to meet program deconcentration goals and maintain excellent partner relationships.
- Maintain and strengthen relations with the property owner/manager community through periodic phone contact written correspondence and inperson site visits.
- Monitor participating property owners and managers for adherence to housing program standards for continued program participation.
- Advocate for program participants with property owners/managers and within the broader community housing landscape.
- Recruit new residential property owners and management companies for program participation to expand housing options.
Program Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure program compliance in key areas including rent reasonableness determinations ownership verification IRS 1099 reporting and documentation requirements.
- Monitor collection and accuracy of Taxpayer Identification information and associated documents in housing software to support 1099 reporting.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and support timely and accurate payment readiness.
- Collaborate to ensure timely of annual lease renewals tenancy documentation and contracts.
System Oversight and Data Integrity
- Oversee data entry and property file management conducted by the property accounts and support roles in housing software systems such as Padmission Journey and Padmission Connect.
- Ensure proper documentation is uploaded organized and maintained for all property partners and entities.
- Support the integrity and completeness of property records including monitoring for accuracy and consistency across platforms.
Industry Awareness and Strategic Insight
- Stay informed of industry trends local housing market dynamics and policy changes that may affect program operations and partner engagement.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance program efficiency partner satisfaction and housing access.
Leadership and Supervision
- Model encourage and reinforce company culture and values.
- Assist with recruiting hiring and termination of property support staff.
- Engage train and develop employees using traditional and innovative teambuilding techniques.
- Ensure success through regularly held employeedriven onetoone meetings.
- Assist with professional development by guiding team members in obtaining professional certifications staying informed and current on industry trends changes in program rules and regulations and other pertinent approaches to professional development.
- Provide ongoing praise and constructive feedback as appropriate.
- Encourage team members to evaluate and make suggestions for program process or implementation improvements.
- Engage in company vision and support objectives and key results (OKRs).
- Provide training mentorship and performance evaluations for property support related roles.
- Foster a culture of accountability and transparency within the organization.
- Collaborate with executives and senior leadership to support property support related decision making across all departments.
- Promote communication and cooperation across divisions to ensure property support processes align with organizational objectives.
- Disseminate information to teams in support of leadership vision.
Essential Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in property management and housing programs with the ability to assess maintenance needs engage landlords and support housing stability through informed customerfocused service.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes of data and documentation.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations impacting the housing sector including fair housing laws compliance requirements and landlordtenant relations.
- Demonstrated strength in leadership and management.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Working knowledge of fundamentals of emotional intelligence and application of emotional intelligence in an organizational environment.
- Proficiency in communicating effectively with leadership colleagues and crossfunctional teams.

- Must pass a background check with no findings that impact the ability to fulfill compliance and role responsibilities.
- This role will have access to sensitive data including Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI) and must adhere to HOM Security and Privacy Policies.
- Team Member may use or disclose PII or PHI through the course of their financial duties listed above. All use and disclosure is subject to procedures outlined in Section 1.10 of the HOM Privacy Policies.
- Must demonstrate HOMs core competencies: Emotional Intelligence Expertise Ethics and Excellence.
- Willingness to perform other duties as needed or assigned.
- Valid California drivers license and uptodate automobile insurance.
- Must be able to travel locally as needed for events training and site visits.
- Ability to lift to 30 lbs. on a regular basis.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- An associate or bachelors degree in business human services public administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of three 3 years of experience in housingrelated roles such as landlord engagement affordable housing programs or customerfacing support with at least one 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Minimum of five 5 years of experience with residential maintenance operations or property management specifically involving maintenance oversight and cost assessment preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
