Job Description
A leading global agribusiness with a strong footprint in South Africa is looking for a dynamic and experiencedFinance Controllerto oversee the financial operations of its local Farming division.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Finance Controller you will take full ownership of the divisions financial function ensuring accurate reporting strong financial controls and continuous process improvements. Youll also play a vital role in team development and act as a strategic partner to the Farming Operations team.

Duties:
- Oversee the daytoday financial function of the Farming division.
- Approve all operational invoices POs journals and SVAs within a 24hour window.
- Lead and develop a capable Admin team through planning training and performance management.
- Manage all financial reporting activities including preparation of the Farming P&L tonnage tracking and allocation of farmlevel costs.
- Ensure system accuracy and integrity across SAP Excel models MIS and other internal platforms.
- Drive budgeting forecasting and variance analysis across OPEX and CAPEX.
- Reconcile balance sheets perform IFRS16 calculations and maintain accurate biological asset valuations.
- Champion process automation and financial reporting enhancements (Power BI SAP improvements etc..
- Manage audit readiness and compliance for both internal and external audits.
- Deliver meaningful business insights and support operational decisionmaking.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12
- Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting.
Experience:
- 35 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong team leadership background.
- Advanced Excel proficiency is nonnegotiable.
- Experience in agriculture commodities or related industries is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a complex ERP environment (SAP preferred).
- Excellent analytical communication and time management skills.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical numerical and problemsolving skills.
- ERP systems experience preferably SAP.
- High attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.
- Excellent time management and organisational capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
