The Opportunity

Join Liebherr Australia as an apprentice Boilermaker Welder so you can earn while you learn!

You will undertake a Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication) gaining handson experience and mentoring from our highly skilled professionals. This 4year apprenticeship will equip you with the skills needed to become a qualified Boilermaker Welder.

Our Apprenticeship Program offers comprehensive training and ongoing support empowering you to reveal and discover your full potential.

What you will learn as an Apprentice Boilermaker Welder

  • The opportunity to begin your career with an industry leading global company in mining equipment manufacturing
  • Acquire skills and expertise needed for a successful career as a Boilermaker Welder
  • You will have the chance to work on various projects including the manufacture of new mining excavator bucket repair mining excavator buckets and excavator attachments
  • Learn how to interpret technical drawings and operate to internationally recognized standards
  • You will also gain knowledge and handson experience in different welding process include flux core solid wire sub merged arc and use carbon arc gouging
  • Opportunity to work on a large range of carbon steel plate thickness from 10mm 140mm
  • Learn how to safely operate plant and mobile equipment

About you

  • Passion for learning new things enthusiasm sense of pride high attention to detail
  • Positive attitude problem solver and a high commitment to safety
  • Drivers License and access to transport to and from the facility
  • Completed year 11 before January 2025
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Certificate II or preapprenticeship course in a relevant field (highly desirable)
