Transaction Strategy and Financial Services is a team within EYs Strategy and Transactions division that is dedicated to advising clients in the Financial Services sector (such as Banking Wealth and Asset Management and Insurance). We advise clients on their transaction strategy and support them on due diligence and transition . The objective is to help our clients achieve their best capital performance deliver value to their stakeholders and meet their strategic goals.

At EY we provide a full range of handson operationally focused support and advice across the transaction life cycle to corporate buyers and sellers as well as private equity firms. Some of our services include synergy assessment operating costs due diligence integration or separation planning and target operating model design. The variety in sectors scenarios and deals provides opportunities to build your experience in this area and apply your expertise to achieve the commercial outcomes.

We are looking for a Senior Consultant or Manager to join our Transaction Strategy and (TSE) team within our Financial Services Practice in our Sydney Office.

Your key responsibilities

You will become part of an established team that values innovative thinking and provide you with the tools to design a career path as unique as you are. With us youll be empowered to:

  • Manage the delivery of operational due diligence postmerger integrations and separation / carveout engagements reporting to a Senior Manager Director or Partner.
  • Analyse and evaluate operating models and financial information.
  • Apply your project management skills in an M&A process and develop a project plan for predeal integration or separation.
  • Apply your problemsolving skills to identify and support to mitigate key risks and issues our client is facing as part of an integration or separation program.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across the client organisation and facilitate senior stakeholder conversations.
  • Develop effective client relationships at the appropriate client level and being responsible for a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and work products.
  • Develop client deliverables in a fastpaced environment and conduct presentations to clients.

What were looking for

We value diversity of background skills and experience in our team. We are on the lookout for individuals with:

  • Minimum 35 years of transaction experience in a reputable consulting firm investment bank or corporate development team
  • Experience working with financial institutions such as insurers wealth and asset managers and banks
  • Advanced problemsolving skills curiosity and creative thinking.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in delivering highquality reports and presentations.
  • Adept at building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Proficient at Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
