Job Description
Ventia partners with the Department of Transport and Main Roads to deliver road and infrastructure projects in the Southeast Queensland region.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role you will play a vital part in the delivery of multidisciplinary projects providing technical advice coordinating activities and driving project performance.
This is initially a 6month contract starting asap based in Staplton or on site depending on the project. There may be a requirement to work night shift due to the nature of the works for certain projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaison and Coordination:
- Act as a point of contact for contractors ensuring smooth project timelines.
- Coordinate with subcontractors addressing scheduling and project challenges.
- Project Scheduling and Forecasting:
- Develop detailed schedules and forecasts to meet project milestones.
- Monitor progress and flag variances for timely resolution.
- Documentation and Filing:
- Maintain wellorganized project files and records.
- Regularly update the project management system with the latest approvals and developments.
- Site Activities and Awareness:
- Participate in mediumscale site activities to gain practical handson experience.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure alignment with project plans.
What Youll Bring:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in scheduling and project management tools.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive problemsolving approach.
