SUMMARY:
The Business Office Manager will be joining an Outpatient Surgery Center(s) team that provides a wide range of sameday surgical services. The Business Office Manager will supervise a highly skilled staff and will be responsible for front and backoffice management. The Business Office Manager supervises and directs the daily functions of the ASC and ESC Business Office including all aspects of admissions registrations precertifications collections filing and chart preparation. Supervises surgery scheduling functions in conjunction with the Administrator and Nursing Managers. Communicates with the Central Business Office to assist in optimal accounts receivable results. Manager will complete multiple quality related data projects and work with individual departments on quality improvements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum high school graduate or GED; Demonstrated ability to type 45 wpm; Comprehension of medical terminology; Minimum of 2 years of medical office or ASC; prefer experience using scheduling software and obtaining precertifications; Excellent communication skills competency in oral and written skills. Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner. Ability to meet flexible schedule requirements as needed by the ASC Business Office Hours.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include the ability to move traverse position self remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; motor coordination and manual dexterity; corrected vision and hearing to normal range occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
