The Role
We are currently recruiting for a skilled and safetyconscious Equipment Operator who has experience operating a telehandler Skid steer and loader to join our team at Syncrude. Local resident to fort McMurray is preferred but not essential. If you are a dedicated and experienced operator looking for a stable and rewarding job we encourage you to apply today!
Compensation/Benefits
- CLAC rate: $43.62 $48.59 Hour depending on experience
- Time and a half after 8 hours per day
- Vacation and stat holiday pay

Responsibilities/Job Duties
- Operate and transport materials around worksite
- Load and unload materials from trucks storage areas and other locations
- Position loads precisely in accordance with worksite needs
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues
- Assist with manual labour tasks as needed
- Site cleaning and preparation Snow clean up
Requirements/Qualifications
- Proven experience as an operator in similar role
- Valid telehandler certificate is a must
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and equipment maintenance
- Must have a valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
- Residence within Fort McMurray preferred
- Must have valid safety tickets: CSO and WHMIS 2015
- Ensure a safe team environment
- Adhere to all company and worksite safety and quality processes and procedures
- Strong communication skills
- Desire to work in a team environment
- Previous industrial experience is an asset
- Must be able to pass a preemployment drug and alcohol test
- Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions
