Job Description

LOCATION CAPE TOWN

SALARY: MARKET RELATED WITH MEDICAL AID/PROVIDENT FUND

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Banqueting and Events Manager to join our prestigious clients team and lead the planning and of all events and banqueting operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan coordinate and oversee all events including conferences banquets weddings and corporate functions.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their event vision and ensure it is executed to the highest standard.
  • Lead and manage the banqueting team to deliver outstanding service and seamless operations.
  • Work closely with the Sales Kitchen and F&B teams to ensure all event requirements are met.
  • Monitor event budgets control costs and maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Oversee setup breakdown and smooth operation of all events.
  • Conduct postevent evaluations and client followups to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 35 years experience in a similar events or banqueting management role preferably in a 4 or 5star hotel.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and clientfacing skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fastpaced environment.
  • High attention to detail and a passion for delivering toptier service.
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and public holidays based on event schedules.
  • Proficiency in events management software and MS Office; Opera; MC knowledge is a plus.
