Position Overview:

We seek an experienced HR Manager to lead and support our North American Sporting Goods (NASG) fitness division which brands include BowFlex Schwinn JRNY and Horizon Fitness. This role is a key partner to divisional leadership providing strategic and tactical HR support to ensure business goals are met through effective talent strategies workforce planning compensation management and employee engagement initiatives. This position is both strategicminded and handson.


The ideal candidate will bring strong business acumen HR expertise and a collaborative mindset to help shape the culture and performance of a growing and innovative team.


It is part of a fun friendly and flexible HR team that works closely together on all aspects of HR for multiple entities at Johnson Health Tech as a shared service. All of our divisions focus on health and wellness and this position can have a meaningful impact in improving peoples lives.


Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary HR leader for the North American Sporting Goods Division acting as a strategic partner to business leaders and managers.

Lead and manage core HR functions including employee relations performance management talent development succession planning and organizational design.

Partner with recruitment and talent acquisition team to support hiring needs and attract and build strong diverse teams.

Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations across multiple states.

Drive employee engagement strategies that reflect our culture and values.

Coordinate compensation details ensuring internal equity market competitiveness and alignment with company guidelines. Guide leaders on pay plans and provide input to annual budget planning.

Support change management initiatives and lead communication strategies for HR programs and policies.

Oversee and train the work of HR team personnel and provide guidance.

Travel to the Vancouver Washington office location a few times yearly for team collaboration training or site support.

Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics.

Other HR Team Support:

Contribute to HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and enhance employee experience.

Partner with the HR leadership to develop departmental goals objectives and systems for the HR team.

Provide backup to other divisional HR managers.

Collaborate with the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) staff to review incidents and reduce risk to ensure employees safety.

Oversee and train the work of HR team personnel and provide guidance.

This position may supervise other HR staff.

Other projects as assigned.

Requirements


Education:

Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management Business Administration or a related field required.

Professional HR certification (e.g. SHRMCP PHR) preferred.


Experience:

8 years of experience in progressive HR roles focusing on managing a broad range of HR functions.

Proven experience in leadership recruitment employee relations performance management and training.

Experience working in a multisite organization retail wholesale or distribution industry is preferred.


Other Requirements:

Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.

Requires a valid drivers license.

Occasional domestic travel to our other current office location in Vancouver WA needed 1 to 4 trips per year)
