Our Residential Support Workers create a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to grow and develop. You will ensure their wellbeing is prioritised by delivering personalised care guidance and advocacy. It is key our children/young people stay safe healthyand are guided to reach their full potential.

About the service
Sycamore House is a residential care home providing accommodation and supporting Children and Young People between the ages of 518years of both physical and learning disabilities.
We provide a homely welcoming and fun environment in which young people feel safe and free to gain a sense of their own self. Your skills passions and interests could help us to continue achieving this. Whether its being a whizz on the PlayStation creating origami animals or exploring nature you can inspire our children.
How youll help to create brighter futures
In the role of waking nights Residential Support Worker involves providing care and support to our young people during the night. This position is crucial in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children as well as promoting their independence and personal development.
As a waking nights Residential Support Worker you will be responsible for monitoring the children throughout the night assisting with any needs that may arise and providing a comforting presence. Your role may include helping with personal care routines administering medication and ensuring that the environment is safe and conducive to rest. You will also engage with the children through activities and support their emotional needs fostering a positive atmosphere.
This role requires patience empathy and a strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with disabilities. You will work closely with a team of professionals to follow individualised care plans and contribute to the overall development of each child.
