The role of the Certificate of Insurance Specialist involves overseeing and guaranteeing adherence to insurance criteria for vendors and other third parties. They play a crucial part in risk management by verifying and maintaining precise insurance documentation thereby ensuring compliance with COI requirements for all vendors.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and assess insurance stipulations delineated in contracts agreements and vendor profiles.
Relay insurance prerequisites to vendors and contractors aiding them in acquiring and submitting requisite documentation.
Validate the accuracy and sufficiency of insurance certificates provided by vendors ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
Track insurance expiry dates renewals and proactively engage with vendors to secure updated certificates when necessary.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as procurement legal and risk management teams to ensure consistency in insurance requirements and compliance procedures.
Address inquiries from vendors internal departments and external partners regarding insurancerelated inquiries.
Remain updated on industry norms regulatory mandates and optimal approaches concerning insurance compliance.
Contribute to the development and implementation of streamlined processes and tools aimed at enhancing insurance compliance activities.
Support audits and evaluations associated with insurance compliance and risk management.
Regularly publish reports and maintain close monitoring of noncompliance and pending cases.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
Preferably CA or MBA
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Preferred bachelors degree in business administration risk management or a related field.
Proficient grasp of insurance terminology policies and various coverage types.
Exceptional communication abilities encompassing both verbal and written proficiency enabling clear conveyance of intricate insurance concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Meticulous attention to detail and organizational prowess adept at handling multiple tasks and deadlines concurrently.
Familiarity with pertinent laws regulations and industry norms governing insurance compliance.
Robust analytical and problemsolving aptitude facilitating effective identification and resolution of insurance compliance matters.
