The Cloud Security Specialist is responsible for cyber security areas across products services infrastructure networks and/or applications while providing protection for AT&T our customers and our vendors/partners. You will work with senior team members on various projects relating to the protection of devices customers assets data information technology and networks. Supports innovation strategic planning technical proof of concepts testing lab work and various other technical program management related tasks associated with the cyber security programs. The role includes supporting devops teams in security compliance of applications in cloud and datacenter environments. Applications span from general purpose business support systems to PCI/SOX as well as mobility core functions. This role will include development of cybersecurity compliance platforms and cyber tool testing.
The skills required are a combination of technical cloud knowledge (Azure AWS GCP) cybersecurity knowledge and effective communications. The ability to perform as an independent technical contributor as well as a member of a broader team is expected.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Coordination and partnering with security technology vendors SoftwareasaService providers and publiccloud solution providers to drive security platform improvements.
- Continual identification handson evaluation and pilot new technology features to efficiently meet evolving security requirements.
- Employing best practices to ensure compliance with common standards and organizational security requirements for application and architecture design.
- Develop and present/demonstrate solution and feature designs
- Troubleshoot/resolve security related customer/user issues.
Qualifications:
- Preferred Bachelors degree in Information Systems Comp Sci Engineering or Cyber Security.
- Requires 13 years of related experience.
- Requires Daily Office Presence 5 days a week) in Dallas Texas or Middletown New Jersey. No relocation assistance is provided.
- Knowledge in security technology management and operational best practices and the ability to incorporate new concepts for advancing and improving existing methods and procedures is necessary.
- Progressive security architecture experience working with startups and large securitymature enterprises.
- Experience in commercial or webscale system software development and delivery.
- Proficient in a modern scripting and programming languages such as Shell/BASH YAML Java NodeJS and Python
- Familiar with modern Infrastructure as Code declarative languages such as Terraform and Cloudformation
- Preferred experience with the Angular web application framework
- Preferred AWS or Azure Certification in Architecture DevOps SysOps or Security
Education:
Required Bachelors degree in Information Systems Engineering or Cyber Security related.
Experience:
Typically requires 23 years of experience. Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role.
