The CED Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the College of Education (CED) the CED ASM and CED Departments as needed. This position will be assigned to support various Departments Department Chairs/Directors faculty staff and students in a wide variety of areas including communications scheduling & program support record keeping and personnel matters. The Administrative Assistant also acts as a customer service specialist for its constituents: faculty staff students and the publicatlarge. This position may support multiple department units at one time and the various units supported can be complex in nature and will require the ability to learn the intricacies of each department.

Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Excel and Word. Knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft. Knowledge and experience with university policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and to be a team player. Ability to work in fastpaced environment. Ability to interact politely. Has patience be professional and efficiently interact with many visitors and callers. Knowledge of English grammar punctuation and spelling is required.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies procedures and guidelines including but not limited to safety civility information security and nondiscrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the universitys commitment to a vision of excellence.
Education and Experience
Equivalent to three years of administrative support experience required.

A skills test will be conducted at the time of interview.

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $3680 $5417 per month.

Duration of Appointment
