Technical Security Advisor

About the role:As a Technical Security Advisor you will plan and oversee physical security upgrades collaborating with stakeholders and vendors to meet project objectives. You will support project implementation working closely with procurement to ensure successful delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Requirements Gathering:Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for a national facilities security uplift project.
  • Technical Standards and Compliance:Ensure planned works comply with the Protective Security Policy Framework government technical notes and Australian Standards.
  • Analysis and Documentation:Collaborate with procurement to liaise with vendors and ensure tender documentation specifies security requirements accurately.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:Work with internal and external stakeholders including facilities management IT and vendors to ensure project success.
  • Process Improvement:Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance security operations efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Risk Management:Identify potential risks and help develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

The successful candidate:The successful candidate must be able to satisfy the following criteria:

  • 5 years of experience as a security advisor security integrator security project manager or security consultant.
  • Knowledge of Australian Government physical and technical security requirements and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of security operations best practices.
  • Detailoriented with strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.

Whats on offer

This contract is available for an initial 6 month term with high likelihood of extensions.

Located in Sydney this role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
