Job Description

Our client a highlyrated and trusted business in Allen Texas is seeking a talented Sales Manager to join their team. The Sales Manager will lead the company s sales department in alignment with the strategic goals set by the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). This role is responsible for developing and executing the overall sales strategy mentoring and supporting the sales team maintaining key client relationships and ensuring departmental performance through smart systems and effective leadership.

Sales Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop the overall sales strategy aligned with the company s growth plan as outlined by the ELT.
  • Participate as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
  • Lead the Sales Leadership Team (SLT) providing guidance accountability and direction.
  • Ensure each member of the SLT achieves their assigned performance metrics.
  • Conduct regular SLT meetings and oneonones with sales staff.
  • Design and assign individual sales performance metrics.

Sales Team Development

  • Develop and execute a strategic staffing and recruiting plan for the Sales Department.
  • Hire onboard train and evaluate all members of the SLT and broader sales team.
  • Assist HR in creating and executing a comprehensive onboarding program for new sales employees.
  • Design and implement sales compensation plans that drive desired behaviors.
  • Staff mentor and lead the sales leadership team for both performance and culture fit.
  • Create personal development plans for all team members to build on strengths and minimize deficiencies.

Sales Operations

  • Develop and maintain sales pricing processes and guidelines (to be approved by the ELT).
  • Collaborate with Marketing to align lead generation branding and outreach.
  • Design and deploy systems tools and technologies to improve sales productivity and performance.
  • Develop annual sales quotas departmental budgets and award programs.
  • Create and utilize performance dashboards and CRM reports to drive accountability.
  • Maintain departmental budget compliance and reporting accuracy.

Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain and grow relationships with strategic accounts in partnership with the Cleaning Advisors.
  • Make joint sales calls with the sales team as needed to support business development.
  • Send new account welcome letters to solidify and celebrate new partnerships.
  • Support smooth client transitions from sales to operations.
  • Performance Metrics
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and department goals.
  • Maintain margin integrity and department expense budget compliance.

Authority

  • Full authority to hire fire promote and train members of the Sales Leadership Team with the approval of President.
  • Final approval on pricing proposals at 45 cost level or lower.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Work Hours

This is a fulltime position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. but may be flexible as agreed upon between executive management and employee. On call availability and periodic additional time including nights and weekends or as job duties demand.



Requirements

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel across the DFW metroplex.


Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in office cleaning services or business services in a hunter role where prospecting is a critical success factor experience in both areas preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales management experience of teams selling B2B services or office cleaning services with experience in cleaning services preferred
  • Completed reputable B2B sales and sales management training programs Sandler preferred
  • Managed a sales team of at least 3 outside professionals that consistently achieved their sales quota
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience creating and using sales performance reports in a CRM system
  • Experience in managing to a documented consultative selling process
  • A 4year college degree in a business discipline preferred but not required
  • Experience developing & leading sales training programs
  • Experience in conducting formal sales performance reviews

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Familiarity with commercial cleaning services or janitorial industry is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using AirTable PandaDoc and other relevant software applications.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven ability to select build motivate and mentor a sales and sales leadership team of 10 outside and inside professionals that consistently achieved their sales quota
  • Proven ability to create and execute a personal development plan for each subordinate designed to leverage their strengths and minimize their job performance deficiencies
  • Proven ability to conduct successful sales meetings and sales training programs
  • Understands and can communicate the importance of selling value in a highly competitive selling environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in identifying stated and unstated business issues and tying them back to a business solution a problem solver
  • Proven ability to assimilate new information quickly
  • Proven ability to think outofthe box in working with a customer in designing a corrugated packing solution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in time planning and management
  • Advanced listening and questioning skills
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills including group presentations
  • Strong organization skills
