Mining Business Line Growth Leader

AECOM is seeking a industry connected Mining Business Growth Leader to support the West Pacific Water Mining Division growth opportunities in Mining Mine Waste and Water Management Closure and Remediation and Sustainability who will collaborate with AECOM national and global mining accounts and delivery teams.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

• The primary responsibility involves leading clientfacing activities including driving business with existing clients generating new business and leading delivery of major projects and programs.
• The candidate is expected to drive growth of the mining practice in AECOMs U.S. West Region and provide technical engagement/leadership with clients and the industry during pursuit of mining opportunities.
• Provide technical leadership on projects and support strategy and sale of AECOMs services to the mining market sector.
• Identify and pursue opportunities and trends in the business line market sector and in adjacent market sectors.
• Participate in developing business strategy for mining in the U.S. West Region.
• Serve as program project manager or technical lead when needed directing and executing strategic work related to major mining projects and programs.
• Build strong relationships and interact regularly with clients teaming partners industry groups and stakeholders linked to the market sector.
• Develop major pursuits and provide oversight of capture plans that conform to the business development strategy and technical capabilities.
• Draw in technical expertise from across the organization to support pursuits.
• Regularly interact with clients to pursue satisfaction with AECOM services and interact with project delivery personnel to proactively identify and address client feedback on team performance. 
• Reinforce collaboration and team building emphasize client focus demonstrate commitment to excellence and innovation and motivate others to promote positive morale and engagement.
• Monitor and manage business development expenditures and priorities in the Four Corners and Mountain States based on market trends.
• Coordinate with AECOMs Technical Practice Leads and Division Managers to align the teams skills with market trends and to drive strategic technical leadership hires.
• Continuously build a strong professional network through personal contacts conference planning and strategy development

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors degree 10 years of relevant experience and 2 years of leadership experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Valid U.S. Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters (MS) or Doctorate (PhD) in Engineering. Civil Structural Geotechnical or mechanical.
• Extensive and proven knowledge of mining markets trends and clients.
• 20 years of mining industry technical and leadership experience.
• 5 years of experience leading projects client accounts or business development initiatives.
• Strong reputation in the industry and participation in related industry organizations.
• Ability to broad scan other water related end markets and to assist in strategy development.
• Agile response to fast paced complex work environment and organizational change.
• Proven ability to deliver projects and foster collaboration across geographies disciplines and business lines.
