Job Title:Compliance Analyst(MA5

Location:Olympia WA Hybrid. Mostly remote with occasional travel to the Olympia Headquarters office for training and audit related meetings.

Closes:Monday April 21 2025

Salary: $74724 $ 100524 Annually.


To accomplish our mission of protecting children and strengthening families so they flourish the Dept. of Children Youth and Families (DCYF) relies on funding from a variety of sources each of which carries its own requirements. DCYF is looking for prudent individuals to help ensure that DCYF maintains compliance with the Child Care Development Grant (approximately $408M per year) and meets its reporting requirements through a variety of tasks focused on quality assurance and process control.

The Opportunity (Management Analyst 5:

In this role you will provide a highly specialized and technical skillset expert level analysis and extensive documentation that will help to ensure DCYF is meeting its financial accountability standards. Due to a multimilliondollar audit finding this position is critical to the elimination of future findings and is mandated by the Legislature. In addition your fund utilization analysis will serve a crucial role in informing the Working Connections Child Care per capita forecast; A program which is expected to exceed $1B in fiscal year 2027.


This position provides an opportunity for growth and can function as a stepping stone to other roles. It fills a niche that requires both the knowledge of Washington State accounting practices that and technical knowhow both of which would be applicable to any Washington State agency. In addition we also offer resources to refine new skills and stay up to date on the new methods through our offices DataCamp license.


Through this position an individual is able to make a difference by helping to preserve funding that over 42000 families in Washington State rely on for access to affordable child care.


An assessment of programming competency may be administered due to the technical nature of this position.
